This product is the second-generation same-port equal-voltage uninterruptible power supply (UPS) control module, featuring bidirectional charging and discharging capabilities with built-in battery charging and protection mechanisms. Suitable for wide-voltage-range network devices, smart appliances, LED lights, and similar equipment.

Supported Battery Capacity: 2-15Ah. At 2S, 15Ah is approximately 110Wh, capable of powering a 50W device for over two hours. At 3S, 15Ah is approximately 166Wh, capable of powering a 50W device for over three hours. For battery capacities exceeding 15Ah, the charging state is uncertain. It is estimated that the battery may not charge fully and only partial charging may occur. Please analyze or test the specific results yourself!
Supported battery types: Compatible with standard lithium-ion batteries, polymer batteries, or cylindrical cells like 18650, 21700, 26650, 32650, etc. However, avoid using low-quality or refurbished batteries, as inconsistent parameters may cause damage unless you have battery measurement equipment. Moreover, substandard batteries may overheat during high-current discharge, potentially leading to fires or explosions.
Input Voltage and Charging: For the 2S version, 9V input is recommended, though any voltage between 9V-15V is acceptable. Whether your power supply includes charging functionality is irrelevant, as the mainboard features a dedicated charging chip capable of charging 2S batteries to approximately 8.2V-8.4V. For the 3S version, 13V input is recommended, enabling charging to approximately 12.3V-12.6V. For the 3S version, when the IN voltage is below 13V, the LED indicator status is unpredictable—it may be lit, flashing, gradually changing brightness, or off. This does not affect charging and can be ignored.
If no suitable power supply is available, IN can also be connected to a 12V power source, charging the battery to approximately 11.7-11.8V. When IN input is 12.5V, the battery can be charged to around 12.2-12.3V. Normal charging or status display occurs when IN is at least 0.5V higher than the battery voltage.
Regarding charging current: The default current is 1.2-1.4A. At 2S, this equates to approximately 11W; at 3S, the charging power consumption is about 15-16W.
Precautions and Tips:
1. When connecting to motor or electromagnetic loads, parallel a capacitor rated at several hundred microfarads to the IN terminal to counteract interference or current surges caused by electrical sparks. Failure to do so may shorten the chip's lifespan.
2. An equal-voltage UPS maintains output voltage equal to the battery voltage during discharge. It does not boost or regulate voltage, so output voltage gradually decreases with battery voltage.
3. Connect the battery last during assembly to prevent loose wires from damaging components. After assembly, remember to charge and activate the unit. Output requires charging activation for initial operation.
4. Do not reverse the input terminals. Reverse protection is not currently supported due to excessive current.
5. Note: For low-end products, batteries may be connected directly. Where feasible, we recommend using batteries equipped with protection boards and balancing boards.
6. Supported battery capacity range: Both 2S and 3S batteries support 2-15Ah. Default charging current limit is approximately 1.2A-1.4A.
7. Discharge indicator glows faintly when load exceeds 50-100mA, brightens above 0.5-1A, and reaches maximum brightness above 2A. Charging indicator activates when IN > BAT by 0.5V. Steady on = Charging, Off = Charging complete, Flashing = Abnormal
8. Note: During reverse output, path loss is approximately 80mΩ for 2S and 50mΩ for 3S. At 2A load, voltage drop is -0.1V.
