Working Principle:

The LM393 continuously compares the readings from both photoresistors. When imbalance occurs (e.g., one side detects black track), it immediately stops the corresponding motor while accelerating the opposite motor. This corrects the car's direction, restoring it to the correct path. This closed-loop control enables rapid and sensitive response.

Notes:

The height of the photoresistor and LED under the front chassis must be appropriate. They should be parallel and positioned approximately 0.2-0.4 cm above the ground (refer to the image for clarity). Sensitivity largely depends on the precision of soldering at this point.

Installing the motor gear assembly may prove challenging. A welding installation video will be released later for reference.

On a white surface, a 15mm-wide black track is marked. The line-following car can automatically navigate along this black track, maintaining its course regardless of how the track curves. Light reflects differently off white and black surfaces. Here, a red LED serves as the light source. Light reflected off the ground onto the photoresistor allows detection of its resistance change to determine if the car is traveling on the white area.

If the black track is detected, indicating the car has veered off course, the motor on that side will slow down or even stop. The corresponding green LED will turn off, driving the car to move in the opposite direction. This ensures the car always stays on the track.
