EL-50448 TPMS Reset Tool – GM & Opel Tire Pressure Sensor Relearn
EL-50448 TPMS Sensor Relearn Reset Tool for GM & Opel Vehicles
Stop that pesky tire pressure warning light from coming back after a tire rotation or sensor replacement. The EL-50448 TPMS Reset Tool is the fast, easy, and affordable way to perform the required Sensor Re-Learn Procedure on most GM and Opel vehicles equipped with a 315 MHz or 433 MHz Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). No trip to the dealership. No expensive scan tool. Just a simple handheld device that gets the job done in minutes.
Made in Mainland China.
Why You Need the EL-50448
Whenever you rotate your tires, replace a Tire Pressure Sensor, or swap out a Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Module, your GM/Opel vehicle's Body Control Module (BCM) needs to be updated with the new sensor ID positions. Failing to do this re-learn procedure will leave your TPMS warning light on — even if your tire pressure is perfectly fine. The EL-50448 triggers the sensor to broadcast its ID so the BCM can record it, clearing the light and restoring proper TPMS function.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What vehicles is the EL-50448 TPMS reset tool compatible with?
A: The EL-50448 is designed for most GM and Opel vehicles equipped with a 315 MHz or 433 MHz Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). This includes Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Hummer, Saturn, and Opel models from approximately 2001 through 2014 and beyond. Always verify that your specific vehicle uses a direct TPMS sensor relearn procedure before purchasing.
Q: Do I need a battery or charger for the EL-50448?
A: The tool requires a battery to operate, but please note that neither a battery nor a charger is included in the package. You will need to supply your own compatible battery before first use.
Q: When do I need to perform a TPMS sensor relearn procedure?
A: A TPMS sensor relearn is required after tire rotations, after replacing one or more tire pressure sensors, or after replacing the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Module. Without performing this procedure, the TPMS warning light may remain illuminated even if tire pressures are correct.
Q: How do I know the EL-50448 has successfully read a sensor?
A: After activating the tool near the valve stem of a wheel, your vehicle will emit a single horn beep to confirm the sensor ID has been successfully read and registered. Once all four wheels are completed, two horn beeps and a 3-second turn signal flash confirm the relearn process is fully complete.
Q: Can I use the EL-50448 on 2012 and newer GM models?
A: Yes. On 2012 and newer models, tire pressure sensors can only be read with specified diagnostic tools — and the EL-50448 is one such approved tool. It is also confirmed to work on 2014 GM models.
