The HC-12 wireless serial communication module is a new-generation, multi-channel embedded wireless data transmission module. It operates in the 433.4–483.8 MHz frequency band, supports multiple channels with a 400 kHz step size, and offers a total of 127 channels. In default mode, the module has a
maximum transmit power of 100 mW (20 dBm), an air data rate of 5000 bps, a receive sensitivity of -116 dBm, and a communication range of 1000
meters in open terrain.
The module uses a through-hole package and supports surface-mount soldering. With dimensions of 27.4 mm × 13.2 mm (excluding the spring antenna), it is easy for customers to integrate into application systems. The module features a PCB antenna socket (ANT1) that allows users to connect an external antenna via coaxial cable to the 433 MHz band (compatible with 433.4 MHz–450 MHz) or the 470 MHz band (compatible with 450 MHz–483.8 MHz), depending on the selected communication channel. The module also includes an antenna solder pad (ANT2)
for users to solder a spring antenna. Users can select one of these antenna options based on their application requirements.
The module contains an MCU, eliminating the need for additional programming. Various pass-through modes simply transmit and receive serial data, making it easy to use. The module supports multiple serial pass-through modes, which users can select using AT commands according to their application requirements.
The average operating currents in idle mode for the four modes (FU1, FU2, FU3, and FU4) are 3.3mA, 85μA, 16.5mA,
and 16.5mA, respectively, with a maximum operating current of approximately 120mA (during full-power transmission).
